Job Summary
This exciting and dynamic position promotes systems and storage technologies throughout the sales cycle. The primary role of the Sr. Systems Engineer is to support a team of Sales Representatives for InterVision. This person will act as the technical liaison between the customers, prospects, sales department and our vendors. This individual will provide technical expertise in analyzing customer’s requirements, recommending solutions and assisting the sales department and other engineers with the development of proposals, quotations and presentations. This individual will be responsible for the technical sales cycle and will work closely with the sales people to close business.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
- Must have extensive knowledgeable of storage, systems and data protection.
- Must have extensive experience with Microsoft Exchange, NetApp and VMware.
- Must be a driven, self-motivated individual that requires little direction.
- Must have experience working on production storage environments.
- Able to architect and design enterprise storage environments.
- Experience as pre-sales engineer is a plus.
- Will assist the Sales team with Pre-Sales and Post-Sales opportunities.
- Willing to assist in the delivery of support and services to InterVision customers as needed.
- Able to build virtual teams of expertise by leveraging internal and external resources.
- Maintains close relationships with the Vendor teams.
- Must have experience as an IT professional working on production storage environments.
- Facilitates and conducts product demonstrations, webinars and presentations to customers.
- Proficient in conducting architecture chalk talks and design concepts.
- Assists the sales team with requests for bids/proposals.
- Has excellent communication skills including technical writing skills and will assist sales with Requests for Quotes/Information.
- Able to create Build-of-Material (BOM’s) and Visio’s for proposals of InterVision’s solutions.
- Must have extensive hands on experience with aforementioned technologies.
- Creates Statements of Work (SOW’s) for proposals and installations.
